While devices like the Levo and Ardent FX are all-in-one infusers with built-in decarboxylation – the Magical Butter Machine doesn’t decarb the weed – that needs to be done separately. The Magical Butter Machine does not decarboxylate the cannabis and you’ll still need to use your oven. Hold up – the Magic Butter Machine doesn’t Decarb? Nope. Making cannabutter was super simple however, the Magical Butter Machine doesn’t have a built-in decarboxylation feature so you’ll still need to use your oven. 8 Hour timer is for *stronger* tinctures with a deeper flavor.

The Magical Butter Machine is like a big heated blender. You need a Trim Bin and you need a device for turning ounces and ounces of trim into infused butter, medicated oils & lotions, as well as THC tinctures. If you’re a grower, I can’t recommend a machine like this enough. The Trim Bin is a 2-piece kief-catching lap-tray with built-in forearm rests. While I’m not super into edibles and prefer dry herb vapes, I have a lot of trim because I grow my own weed, and cannabis trimmings are perfect for making cannabutter because they’re loaded with THC and trichomes. With my first use of the Magic Butter Machine, I made Cannabutter using trim from my recent harvest. When it’s time for me to make some butter, MB2e is MVP in my household. I love you reusable 90 micron filter bag: I hate you cheesecloth! You make everything messy.I rinsed the rest off in the sink, keeping the electronics far from the water. Then wiping the parts close to electronics or tight areas off. One cleaning cycle wasn’t enough to do much cleaning: I ended up taking a damp soapy sponge and wiping the whole thing down inside and out.Mild odor during cooking: Mmmm is someone cooking? I can smell it and it smells good.Tip: The overflow sensor is the short black one with the metal tip. Getting an error beep? Clean the overflow sensor: Because I ran the MB2e once at max temp to decarb, the overflow sensor got splashed on enough that it wouldn’t let me run a second cycle until I cleaned it off thoroughly.Needs a spout: Pouring the butter out of the MB2e wasn’t difficult, but a spout would have made it easier.Growing around the rim, or possibly just showing a succession of colors (e.g. I reacted that way both times I ran it…: Perhaps it was the light show that made me so neurotic, that’s beside the point which is: It would be nice to have the lights display as an indicator of progress.
Next time I’m setting a timer on my phone. It feels like it’s been two hours, maybe even more. I shouldn’t touch it, I should let it do its job. Did it beep? It’s not doing anything, it’s just sitting there throwing a little light show.
